Ways carpets get stained

One thing many people worry about is stained carpet.

The usual practice is to treat it when they turn up (as soon as you can, as that will probably lessen the stain significantly) and then leave it to the professional cleaners when they come by next. Sometimes, though, these stains can add to your overall bill, if they are very extreme. This is something that should, of course, be decided before they are cleaned. Often, though, you can expect to pay for the worst of the stains.

There are a number of different ways to stain a carpet; Dirt brought in on shoes, food, art supplies, All these things can have a negative affect on your carpet. Oil Paint and Pet Odor are different chemicals, though, and therefore need to be treated differently. You should make sure that whatever product you use to treat the stain right off is what you need. Use of the wrong product may not only not lift the stain, but make it worse.

You’ll not see every stain, perhaps, as some may be visible now, and not later, depending on humidity, or temperature, or even because of lighting. You should check for stains before your cleaners come and mark them for removal. The professionals may have any number of ways to get these stains out, such as letting chemical treatments soak in a while, or hard scrubbing, or perhaps just running the area over with their standard carpet cleaning equipment.
