Pet
odor control
Pet odor control
can be difficult in some homes.
Odor is something that many people who
own animals know all too much about. Whether housebreaking a new dog, or
dealing with an animal in his or her senior years, messes that aren’t
cleaned quickly enough may allow odor to sing into the fibers of your
carpet, making it a very difficult task to remove them. While deodorants
or carpet sprays may mask the sent, a balmy summer day can bring them
back with a vengeance.
Professionals have methods to deal with them, like powerful chemical
sprays with enzymes that break apart the material creating the smell, or
just thorough, deep cleaning using a lot of very hot water. If these
measures don’t work, the only option left is replacement. This is why
it’s usually suggested to keep a few square feet of carpet around after
the initial installation. You can have just that section of carpet and
padding replaced.
The best way to keep your carpet odor free, however, is to keep the
problems away from it. Well-trained animals and well kept litter boxes
and freshly replaced newspapers. While everything can’t be prevented, a
good potion can, and that can extend the longevity of your carpet, and
keep your home or office odor free.
