There is no one best carpet cleaning method

Best carpet cleaning methods are often debated.

There is no one “best cleaning method.” While Hot Water Extraction is almost universally considered the deepest cleaning and most effective, it can’t be used on, say silk carpeting, which can’t get wet. Depending on what brand of carpet, it can’t be used on wool either, as heat may damage it. Every method cleans to a different intensity and depth, and while deep cleaning should be done every year, it is sometimes a good idea to do a less intense cleaning between deep cleanings. This will keep your carpet presentable and extend its life.

If a company utilizes only one method of cleaning, you should make sure that that method is best suited for your need at that time, as no two methods are exactly the same. Only the deep cleanings, though, can really get all the unwanted materials out, which may be ingrained in your carpet and should always be done at least once a year. These materials may even be a risk to your physical health, as germs and bacteria often make their home in your carpet, if you let them. Vacuuming regularly and even dry carpet cleaning methods might not always get them out of your families carpet.

You should always look into whatever companies you associate with, as not all companies do the same job. What methods they use may vary, or how long they’ve been doing this job? What kind of reputation they have in your area? All these things should factor into choosing which company you trust to use your desired method of Carpet Cleaning.
